Act I

Act III

Act III has  twosixfourfive scenes and the time frame is Monday–Tuesday. Act III opens with   Paris discussing his marriage to Juliet with Friar LawrenceLady Capulet telling Juliet about the death of TybaltBenvolio and Mercutio discussing their concerns about a brawl with the Capuletsthe death of Mercutio and closes with Juliet bidding farewell to Romeo, arguing with her parents over her planned marriage to Paris and considering suicide. The most important events in Act III are the deaths of Mercutio and Tybalt, the banishment of Romeo, and Romeo and Juliet considering that they would prefer to die than be separated.


Act IV

Act IV has four scenes and the time frame is Tuesday–Wednesday. Act IV opens with  Paris discussing his marriage to Juliet with Friar LawrenceLady Capulet telling Juliet about the death of TybaltParis grieving in Juliet's tombPeter and the musicians exchanging insults after the musicians refuse to play a happy tune and closes with   Juliet's suicideFriar Lawrence learning that Friar John failed to deliver his letter to RomeoPeter and the musicians exchanging insults after the musicians refuse to play a happy tunethe Nurse discovering Juliet's lifeless body and thinking that she is dead. The most important event in Act IV is Juliet taking the potion to make herself appear dead.


Act V

Act V has three scenes and the time frame is Wednesday–Thursday.
