Act I

Act III

Act III has  fourtwosixfive scenes and the time frame is Monday–Tuesday. Act III opens with   Lady Capulet telling Juliet about the death of TybaltBenvolio and Mercutio discussing their concerns about a brawl with the Capuletsthe death of MercutioParis discussing his marriage to Juliet with Friar Lawrence and closes with Juliet bidding farewell to Romeo, arguing with her parents over her planned marriage to Paris and considering suicide. The most important events in Act III are the deaths of Mercutio and Tybalt, the banishment of Romeo, and Romeo and Juliet considering that they would prefer to die than be separated.


Act IV

Act IV has four scenes and the time frame is Tuesday–Wednesday. Act IV opens with  Paris grieving in Juliet's tombLady Capulet telling Juliet about the death of TybaltPeter and the musicians exchanging insults after the musicians refuse to play a happy tuneParis discussing his marriage to Juliet with Friar Lawrence and closes with   Friar Lawrence learning that Friar John failed to deliver his letter to RomeoJuliet's suicidePeter and the musicians exchanging insults after the musicians refuse to play a happy tunethe Nurse discovering Juliet's lifeless body and thinking that she is dead. The most important event in Act IV is Juliet taking the potion to make herself appear dead.


Act V

Act V has three scenes and the time frame is Wednesday–Thursday. Act V opens with   the death of ParisBalthasar telling Romeo that Juliet is deadParis grieving in Juliet's tombthe Nurse advising Juliet to marry Paris and closes with   Friar Lawrence devising a plan for how Romeo and Juliet can be togetherthe Nurse discovering Juliet's lifeless body and thinking that she is deadCapulet and Montague ending the feud between the two familiesRomeo and Juliet's suicides. The most important event in Act V is  Capulet telling Paris to woo JulietJuliet seeing the ghost of her cousin, TybaltRomeo and Juliet's suicidesMontagues and Capulets brawling in the streets of Verona.
