The European regulator for video game content is , which stands for Pan Game . The organisation’s central aim is to create video game ratings which will protect minors against harmful content. PEGI is responsible for regulating video games released in countries located in the in addition to several others, including , to name just one. PEGI has been the one and only system used for video game regulation in the UK since 2012.

PEGI has age classifications. In order of most lenient to most restrictive, these categories are: 3, 7, , 16, and a parental guidance recommended category.
