Exercise and fitness can have a positive impact on physical, mental and social health. 

It should be stressed that poor does not mean that an individual has poor levels of fitness, or cannot train. For example, a person may be suffering from anxiety, but they will still be able to increase their through exercise. However, poor health may cause an , or lack of desire, to train. A reduction in, or ceasing, training will result in lower levels of .

In order to improve health and fitness, it would be prudent advice to:

  • Live a healthy, active  by cutting out negative behaviours such as smoking and excessive alcohol consumption, and instead taking part in regular and taking care of the mind and body.
  • Eat a  diet by consuming the recommended dietary requirements for the different macronutrients and minerals and vitamins.
  • Maintain fitness levels to help maintain a positive state of health.
