Emerging superpowers like China are increasing  into other countries such as those in sub-Saharan African in order to draw in natural resources for China's growing economy.  This policy is called the  policy and also includes China improving access to markets in Europe via the new overland train line.  In the case of developing nations in Africa south of the Sahara, there are both positive and negative consequences for people and the environment.  On the plus side China is providing a source of  for countries like Angola, which is supplying the energy resource in the form of  to power China's factories and fuel their transport.  This creates jobs, reducing  and increasing  for the country.  However, these jobs are predominantly in the sector so will pay low wages and the workers are unlikely to have good  for their employment.  This means the relationship is one of  and is often referred to as a form of  not unlike the relationship between European countries and those in Africa during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
