Muslims believe that it is their responsibility to ensure that they pursue when that is an option. It is the ideal state of being and result of any conflict. Muslims believe that they have the duty to attempt to broker peace when conflict arises, because this is commanded in the . Harmony and peace within the nations, and importantly within the community of Muslims (the ), is what desires for the world, so Muslims should make every effort to establish this in the world. Muslims will do this in a variety of ways. For example, they might support Islamic such as Muslim Aid who work to help victims of war or lobby the government in the country they live in to work with other governments to establish peace. Also, Muslims believe that there are specific rewards which will be given to those who are in the afterlife. Surah :31–38 states that 'We [angels] were your allies in worldly life and in the hereafter. And you will have therein whatever your souls desire, and you will have therein whatever you request as accommodation from a Lord who is Forgiving and Merciful. And who is better in speech than one who invites to Allah and does righteousness and says, "Indeed, I am of the Muslims"'.
