2:1–10 is an important passage within Christianity regarding the teachings against prejudice and discrimination. It is part of the Bible which is written by the apostle , a famous convert to Christianity.

This passage follows his return to as part of his ministry. In the passage, Paul is accepted by the other . It discusses Paul's role in preaching to the , which is the Jewish term for people of non-Jewish descent.

One really important part of the passage comes in verse six, which states, 'Whatever they were makes no difference to me – God does not show ' (Galatians 2:6, NIV). In this verse, Paul is referring to the other apostles. He notes that their position as the apostles does not make them special, as God sees all human beings as equal. Because of this teaching, it is clear that even from the early church, ideas of and discrimination were considered to be wholly wrong.

This section from the Bible is clear: God does not show favouritism, so all human beings must be and treated as such.
