Drag and drop the boxes into the correct order.

  • Towns grew even larger when trams, buses, and even the underground made it possible for people to get to work from further afield.
  • Now, at least in Europe and the USA, towns and cities are becoming less popular and some people are returning to the countryside to get away from all the noise and pollution and the high cost of living.
  • Then they realised seeds could be stored and planted, so they started farming.
  • This meant that they could stop wandering about and stay in one place.
  • This meant that villages appeared, some of which had markets.
  • At first people didn't settle anywhere. They were too busy chasing wild animals and eating berries.
  • Lots of people came to sell and buy food at these markets, so they attracted tradespeople such as blacksmiths, cobblers, and the like and turned into towns.
  • The next big change was the Industrial Revolution when factories were built in or close to towns. Thousand of people came to work in them.

This is your 1st attempt! The marking algorithm gives more marks for getting the right order first time.
