Question 5 is worth 6 marks and requires you to use both texts.  To score well on AO1, you need to bring together information from the two texts.

You will be asked to summarise information from the texts and will be asked to discuss three similarities or three differences. 

Only AO1 is marked on this question.

Question 6 is worth 16 marks. Make sure you leave time to answer it well.  

You need to compare both sources by looking at similarities and differences in perspectives or attitudes and analyse how the writers show us this in the way the texts are written.

You need to look at language and structure, and how the writers use them to show their perspectives or attitudes.

This question is marked only for AO3 – you cannot do well if you do not look at a writer's methods and analyse them.

Use quotations to support your points.

A perspective is how you see something – a point of view or a reaction to something, perhaps.
