The term for life after death in Islam is  AshuraJannahSurahAkhirah. This is an overarching term referring to the various stages following death. In Islam, life after death is considered to be a  symbolmysterycertaintylie because the Qur'an says that it exists. Immediately following death, Muslims believe that the  LordArchAngelGuardianAngel of Death will come and take their soul away from their body. The soul might be able to watch the burial. Following burial, two  devilsteachersprophetsangels will visit the soul and ask three questions: 1. Who is your  saviourfamilyprioritylord? 2. How did you   livesuffer inenjoyplan your life? 3. Who is your  prophetrabbiangelwife? The answers that an individual gives to these questions will impact upon the Day of  HeavenSufferingJudgementReckoning as well as their state between the point of death and this day. This period of time is known as  AkhirahBarzakhAshuraJibril.
