Bowlby believed that infancy is the most  challengingimportantcriticalincredible period for forming positive attachments.  If a strong attachment is not formed during this period, an infant may experience  relationshipachievementunhelpfulseparation anxiety or intense distress. This can lead to  nodestructiveemotionalintellectual issues, and the infant will grow to  trustforgivemistrustlike caregivers or future relationships and lack the ability to receive affection.  In addition to this they may not develop a secure base from which to explore the world or cope with life  troublestimeseventssituations.
