There are a lot of laws that apply to UK businesses, but the main two categories of legislation for small business are    employment trade union employer labour laws and consumer   protection guard shelter defend  laws.

In 2015 all the complicated consumer protection laws were simplified with one new law, the Consumer Rights Act of 2015.  The Act requires goods to be   as liked as wanted as provided as described , which means that if the advert description says a car has a sunroof, it must have the sunroof or the customer is entitled to a refund.  Goods must also be   fit for purpose fit for provision fit for the gym fit for needs , which means that an umbrella must keep out the rain.  Lastly, the goods must be of   amazing quality satisfactory quality outstanding quality jaw-dropping quality , so if the customer buys a spaghetti sauce in a jar and it is all lumpy and watery, then the customer is entitled to a refund.

Customers now also have   6 30 60 15 days to reject the goods and get a refund.  After that period, the retailer is entitled to offer a replacement or repair before offering a refund.  The Act also states that services, such as going to the hairdresser's or the barber's, should be carried out with   poor care reasonable care incredible care wonderful care and skill and within   double timea poor time a reasonable time super quick time .  So if a customer gets a bad haircut, they are entitled to a refund.

The Act also covers   high-tech super-tech digital AI content, so if a customer downloads an Xbox or PlayStation game or streams music to their phone and it doesn’t work, then the customer can ask for their money back.

Employment laws are more complex, but they mostly try to prevent   defamation dramatisation discrimination demilitarisation  or protect the workers in some way.  During the recruitment process, an employer cannot discriminate on the grounds of sex, race, religion, age or disability.  Employees are also protected by the legislation through the National Minimum   Wage Dosh Notes Coin  Act of 1998 and the Health and   Calm Wellness HealthSafety at Work Act 2015, which aims to ensure that businesses provide a safe working environment to help employees to be more productive.
