ITV Television categorises its content based on channel and   genre themes content age rating. Each separate genre department produces a yearly plan based on targets set by the wider company. The most high-profile and expensive dramas are broadcast on ITV1, typically in  peak primeoptimumexclusive time slots between 8pm and 10pm to maximise audience engagement. Successful new dramas can lead to extended runs, increased marketing, and even international distribution. For example, Trigger Point was made available on ITVX in the UK and distributed internationally through platforms such as Peacock in the United States, helping to boost its global reach and audience base.
