When we cut down the trees, we release  carbon dioxideheliumpropaneoxygen into the atmosphere. We’re not sure how many species live in the rainforests, and we make new discoveries all the time. Rainforests are an important source for  medicinespaperrockgraphite, which is why it’s important to protect the species, as they could lead to new cures. Hunters operate in rainforests in order to hunt animals for the illegal trade in bush meat. The process is called  fryingpoachingscramblingboiling. We also cut down rainforests for farming.
