Plants undergo a reaction called photosynthesis to turn the energy from the  SunMoonpolessoil into food. Many factors influence the rate of photosynthesis, but light intensity is often the  restricting factordominant factorstalling factorlimiting factor. A  lowhighmoderatefluctuating temperature decreases the rate of photosynthesis because it means that particles have less  kineticsoundpotentialchemical energy and so reactions happen more slowly. The amount of  oxygenwatermethanecarbon dioxide and chlorophyll available also influences the rate. Many of these factors can be controlled in  greenhouseskitchensgardensshops to ensure that plants have the optimum conditions for photosynthesis and growth.
