Understanding Geological Time

It is widely accepted that Earth is around   4.5 billion0.04 billion15.3 billion7.0 billion1.2 billion3.5 billion years old. This is such a long time that it is difficult for anyone to get their head around it. So geologists created the    geographical time scale geometric time scale geological time scale geomorphology time scale geriatric time scale geometrical time scale which divides it up into three huge chunks which are called    Emmas eras emus Ezras eons Eros. The longest of these lasted about    fourteen thousand four billion seventy-three ten billion three million sixteen million years and was called the    Anthropocene  Cambrian Georgian Phanerozoic Pre-Cambrian Elizabethan. These were the days of    fish and chips your grandparents mammals and giant whales dinosaurs and woolly mammoths worms and jellyfish cowboys and Indians and lasted until about 540 mya (millions of years ago). They broke the very longest periods of time down into    eras emus ems elks eons eggs the most recent of which is the    Jurassic Paleozoic Triassic Cenozoic Mesozoic Quaternary. The smallest division of geological time is the    chunk emu period era weekend fortnight .
