The Bhopal disaster, also referred to as the Bhopal gas tragedy, was a chemical accident on the night of 2–3 December  198220091986198419902001 at the Union Carbide India Limited (UCIL) factory which made  paintmobile phonesclothingmotor vehiclespesticidescomputers. This industrial disaster is considered the world's worst in history. Over 500,000 people were exposed to  deadly spiderspoisonous snakessulfuric acidradiationa toxic gasnoise pollution. The highly toxic substance made its way into and around the small towns located near the plant.  As well as it causing many thousands of deaths, many people were also  helpedwornwarneddiseasedinfectedaffected permanently by the gas that leaked from the plant. The inquiry into the disaster mainly blamed the plant's poor   worldemploymenthuman resourcessafetyhealthproduction record as many parts of the system were in a poor condition. It also found that many workers were not properly   entertainedcounselledtrainedpaidfedclothed.   Poor   communicationallocationtransportationmotivationinsulationcooperation between the factory owners and the emergency services also added to the death toll. After the disaster, many who suffered were paid   a bonusconstitutioncompensationtheir pensionsovertimea salary for their losses but the site has still not been properly   declareddeconstructeddevalueddecontaminateddelimiteddiseased.
