During cell division, DNA is  mutateddividedlostreplicated so that there is enough available to share between cells. Each  moleculeplasmidenzymechromosome is duplicated, and the cell parts responsible for cell functions are  unusedtranslatedmultiplieddestroyed.

A cell goes in order through  telophase, prophase, metaphase and anaphaseprophase, metaphase, anaphase and telophaseanaphase, metaphase, prophase and telophasemetaphase, telophase, anaphase and prophase before reaching cytokinesis, where both the  cell wallplasmidscell membranechloroplasts and the cytoplasm are divided, resulting in two identical diploid cells.

This process increases the total number of cells in the body and enables growth. Growth can be tracked in babies using percentile charts, which give an indication of whether babies are growing at a healthy rate. At any point in their growth,  7750.7525 per cent of babies will have masses below the 75^th percentile curve on the chart. 

A special type of cell, known as a stem cell, is capable of  shrinkingappearingdividingactivating many times and  mergingdifferentiatingsecretingtunnelling into another type of cell. Human stem cells are mainly found in  spermmusclesmalesembryos, while plant stem cells are present throughout life in structures known as  meristemleaveschloroplastsxylem. The cells in mature animals can only divide to perform  reproductionspecialisationrepairfunctions or replacement.
