The following script shows the question and response session following a presentation.

Read the script then answer the questions.

Speaker: Thank you for listening to my presentation about how I turned my pocket money babysitting job into my career path. Do you have any questions?

Question 1: Have you always loved children?

Speaker: Oh yes! My favourite toy when I was young was my doll. I used to pretend it was a real baby! That's why I started babysitting as soon as I was old enough. As I don't have any younger siblings, it was a way of spending time with children.

Question 2: How long have you loved children for?

Speaker: As I said, since I was very young. Even when I was a child myself.

Question 3: You've obviously found a career path that you're passionate about. Do you have any tips for how others can do the same?

Speaker: I really have and I feel very lucky that I've been able to do so. I think it's really important to follow your heart. Think about what you enjoy doing and how you would choose to spend your time if you had no limitations. Yes, I think that's a good starting point.

Question 4: I hate kids. I think it sounds like a nightmare job. How do you put up with their tantrums and pestering?

Speaker: For me, it really is a dream job. Even with the tantrums! I know from my college course that children's behaviour is often based on their emotions. So when they're having a tantrum they're not being naughty, they're just trying to express something. I definitely think you need to have a lot of patience if you want to work with children. Also, I think it's important that you genuinely enjoy their company. For me, I love it; however, it sounds like you would definitely choose a different career path.
