Brand image is very important to businesses. This may be related to  quantitynumbersqualityquotas as well as  valuespacevarianceweight for money. This is particularly important where 'own-brand' competitors exist, and the branded item costs much more. An example would be the price of supermarket branded trainers compared to Nike or New Balance. The brand name also  referencesallowsspacescommunicates an impression of the product to the customer. There is a saying that it's difficult to gain a good reputation but very easy to  showincreasefindlose it. Locally based smaller businesses may gain a good reputation through  countynationalinternationalcommunity involvement. This may be through supporting local events or providing  suppliessponsorshipemployeescustomers for a local children's sports team.  

Some customers may distrust advertising claims. Therefore, a business may decide to use straightforward and  detailedlocalhonestnormal marketing methods. They may also aim to build a reputation for dealing quickly with customer  queriesagescomplaintspreferences and resolving them to the customer's satisfaction. This will help reinforce a good image and reputation for the business.

Businesses may also aim to use  increaseddecreasedquantitiesenvironmentally friendly packaging, which can also improve their reputation.
