Muslim attitudes to conflict GapFill

Violence and war are a sad reality of the human experience and have historically broken out in generation after generation spanning human history. There are always a variety of complicated different reasons for the breakout of conflict, one of the common ones being  religiondiplomacymasochismsadism. Historically, this has been a factor in the justification of waging wars and this has continued to the modern day, as, within the twenty-first century, certain groups have committed acts of  colonialismterrorismpeacemakingart and claimed them in the name of religion. An example of such a group is the  JainJewishIslamicChristian State, who have claimed responsibility for a number of terrorist attacks on the UK, such as the Manchester Arena bombing of 2017.  SelfishnessReligionPhilosophyEnglishness has also played a role in other modern-day conflicts, such as the conflict in the Middle East, where the religious identity of the  HinduChristianJewishIslamic Palestinians is often cited as a source of conflict with the Jewish identity of the  DutchAmericanBritishIsraeli side of the conflict. Some people may argue based on these examples that  social mediareligionphilosophysocial justice is inherently harmful because it causes so much war and suffering. Others disagree, however, pointing out that it is often used as a justification to mask other motivations such as quarrels over  petty issuesterritorypridefood and issues of power. Religion can be involved, but it would be unfair to lay the entirety of the motivation on beliefs – especially when the  failingsteachingsresourcespeople of that religion prohibit the actions taken by some individuals (e.g. acts of terror  supportingviolatingpromotingendorsing the criteria of jihad in Islam).
