Christians respond to modern issues surrounding conflict in various ways. Different people experience and practise their faith differently.

Some examples of actions Christians take in order deal with modern wars:

  •  WorshipSingPrayDance for the end of the wars and for the victims of conflict.
  •  HarassBadgerPetitionBother the government of their own country to stop the conflict, intervene or help victims.
  • Provide victims of war with practical goods, such as  clothessun creamfidget spinnersLego, food, and where possible,  shelterwinegiftsChristmas trees
  • Financially, they will give money to Christian  charitiescompaniesfor-profit organisationsorganisations such as Tearfund and  Pride UKChristian AidSave The ChildrenOxfam which work internationally to support those impacted negatively by war.

Some non-religious people might criticise some of these approaches. For example, if they do not believe in God, then they will consider prayer to be a waste of time – despite how important it is considered to be for religious people.

They may also criticise the use of Christian charities to help victims of war – they may view this as attempting to force  radicalisationidealismchangeconversion to Christianity on vulnerable people.
