The story of Jesus in the final week of his life is known as the  expressionagapelovepassion. This chronicles Jesus' final days from his arrival in the city of  JerusalemRomeSalemEphesus, where he arrives riding on a  fleetstalliondonkeyparade, which is a reference to the prophecy about the  ProphetKingMessiahPharaoh in the Jewish scriptures. This final week of his life is leading up to the Jewish celebration of  Yom KippurPurimPassoverSeder, which is when the Jews celebrate the deliverance of their people from slavery in Egypt. During his final week, he comes into conflict with various figures of power, such as the Pharisees and Sadducees, and the Romans. This conflict is important as a cause which leads to his eventual  welcomecelebrationanointingarrest. The night before his arrest, he shares a  partyhouseconversationmeal with his disciples, which is known as the Last Supper. This is a tradition which is influential in Christian practice, through the sacrament of  ConfirmationMarriageCommunionBaptism. Following the Last Supper, he prays in the Garden of  CanaGethsemaneBotanicalEden, where he surrenders his will for God's, having prophesied about his impending death. While in this garden, he is betrayed by his follower  SimonDavidJudasJohn and arrested. He is then put on trial, and condemned despite his innocence. He is flogged and mocked before being taken to Golgotha, which means the Skull. There, he is  forgivenreleasedcrucifiedadmonished.
