Over time, materials will react chemically to become damaged or corroded; chemically, this process is known as  wear and tearchippinglosing HPcorrosiondestructionfatigue. This is primarily used to produce  pesticidesfertilisersfuelalloysbricksceramics, which typically need to contain  nickel, platinum and kryptonfluorine, chlorine and brominecarbon, boron and oxygeniron, hydrogen and sulfurnitrogen, phosphorus and potassiumcarbon, nitrogen and oxygen to be useful.
