Strengths
Weaknesses

For those who experience them, their own experience is more than enough to convince them that what happened to them is real
It's consistent with religious texts such as the Qur'an, where miracles occured
They're difficult to prove
They could be explained by science, e.g. by a hallucination
These could be explained by simpler means, such as coincidence
Many well-respected people have reported to have seen or experienced a miracle – it's difficult to discredit these
For some 'miracles', there is no identifiable scientific reason for the occurrences
It fits with the Qur'anic idea that Allah continues to intervene in the world
Just because some miracles might be an illusion does not mean that they all are
It's consistent with the Muslim understanding of Allah – that he is powerful and will reveal himself to believers
